Heating Instructions

Keeping your hot pick-up catering orders warm:

  • For brief periods between your pick-up and eating times, we recommend you keep the pans in the insulated catering boxes. These will keep your food at a temperature for serving.
  • If waiting 1-3 hours between pick-up and eating times, we recommend you take the aluminum pans out of their catering boxes and put the pans into an oven with the lids on, on a low heat (approx. 200 degrees fahrenheit, depending on your oven).
  • If waiting more than 3 hours, for food safety reasons, we recommend you allow the food to cool between pick-up and serving time by taking pans out of the catering boxes, cooling, and placing them in the refrigerator once cooled. Then you may follow the cold pick-up heating instructions below, as usual.

NOTE: Do not place aluminum pans in a microwave – these are only suitable for oven heating.

Heating your individual Thanksgiving turkey dinners:

We recommend heating your fully cooked, individual turkey dinners by placing them in the microwave for several minutes (depending on your appliance) according to your heat preference. These dinners are packaged in a microwaveable plastic container, so you can choose to leave them in their containers while microwaving, or you may transfer them to your own dishware to heat, based on your personal preferences.
